Ultrasonic Theremin
A sound instrument played by gesture, driven by a Raspberry Pi
Two ultrasonic sensors measure the distance to the player’s hands — one reading the X axis, the other the Y. A Raspberry Pi turns both readings into sound as they arrive, so the piece is played in the open air in front of it, shaped by movement alone and never touched.

Live envoiremental visualisation via depth data from a stereoscopic infrared camera
Using the Unity engine, a point cloud of up to 921,600 points per frame is rendered in real time. This point cloud is not only displayed but also manipulated in its behavior — the captured data becomes a material that can be shaped and altered. Each point holds spatial coordinates (X/Y/Z) and can be freely orbited within the virtual space. Later, it became possible to transfer this depth data onto a standalone object and deform it (see next slide). The effect resembles a pin art board, where you transfer the imprint of an object — such as your hand — onto a surface.
